Na Rinceoirí provides premium Irish dance entertainment tailored to events of every scale, from intimate corporate settings to large international festivals.
We work closely with clients, agencies, and producers to deliver performances that are both visually striking and seamlessly integrated into each event.
Drawing on their vast experience in the entertainment industry, Matt and Maxine work with the best talent in the space, focusing not only on high quality Irish dance, but making sure their cast are performers.
An emphasis on the performance aspect of Irish dance is a key element which sets Na Rinceoirí apart. We understand that making a connection through what we do is a priority - whether that's via an audience interaction segment at a corporate event, or through high energy, passion and emotion during a theatrical production.

Meet the Team
Co-Owner
Matt Smith
After a successful competitive career in Irish Dance, comprising of multiple Great Britain and All Ireland titles as well as a ranking of 2nd in the world, Matt joined the cast of Lord of the Dance at the age of 18.
After a year with the show he was given the lead role and for the next 14 years he toured the globe, performing in prestigious venues across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa. Working closely with Michael Flatley on his newer productions of Dangerous Games and 25 years of Standing Ovations, Matt was given the Male Dance Captain role, with the responsibility of maintaining the standard of performance and well being of the male cast members.
In 2025 Matt joined the cast of Riverdance and took on the same roles, performing the lead on RTE’s Up for the Match, as well as Dance Captain on their UK tour and Getty Theatre Residency.
Creating Na Rinceoirí allows Matt to continue his passion for performance, with the goal to bring the highest quality of Irish dance entertainment to audiences across Ireland and the world.

Maxine Spelman
Maxine performed with Lord of the Dance for 14 years, after being picked to join the troupe at the age of 18. She has toured the globe, performing on the most prestigious stages, and has been chosen to dance alongside Michael Flatley in the biggest gigs of his life, including Dublin’s 3 Arena, London’s Wembley Arena and Michael’s last ever performance in Las Vegas.
Maxine grew up in Galway, Ireland and danced under the tuition of some of the most successful teachers in the sport. This enabled her to have a very successful competitive career, placing in the top ten at the CLRG world championships.
Throughout her years as a professional she has had the opportunity to work closely with Flatley during the creation of ‘Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games’ and the most recent iteration, ’25 years of standing ovations’. Being able to train and work in these intense creative environments has given her an invaluable understanding of professional Irish dancing, and what it takes to perform at the top level.
